About SG Refurbishments

Who we are

We have worked on every type of house round here since 2005. We know how they are put together, and where the surprises hide once the plaster comes off.

The office is at 27 High Street, Godstone, at the foot of the North Downs in Surrey. Caterham was our home before Godstone, and we still work right across it.

One firm, answerable for the whole job

We manage every trade on the job, so you deal with one firm, not a chain of subcontractors.

If something needs putting right, you ring the same number and the same firm answers. You are not left working out whose job it was.

Who we work for

Commercial: pub and bar operators, landlords, property teams, managing agents, housing associations, schools and healthcare providers. Pubs and bars are the work we do most of, usually while the site is still trading. Commercial work

Homes: homeowners within about ten miles of Godstone, from a single room to an extension, a full renovation or a new house. Work on homes

How a job runs

1. The survey. We come out and look at the job properly, free and with no obligation.
2. The price. Itemised and in writing, before anything starts, so you can see what each part costs.
3. The build. Every trade booked in the right order and managed by us.
4. Handover. We walk the finished work with you, deal with any snags, and hand over the certificates that go with the work.

How we keep sites safe is set out under health, safety and fire compliance.

Where we work

Work on homes within about ten miles of the office, including Caterham, Coulsdon, East Grinstead, Crawley.

Commercial work across the South East: on the coast from Southampton and Portsmouth round to Brighton and Dover, and past London out as far as Oxford and Colchester.

Insured, and there when you need us

We carry £10 million public liability, £10 million employers’ liability and £10 million professional indemnity cover. Certificates are available on request before work starts.

The office is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and closed at weekends and on bank holidays. Emergency call-outs run all year on the same number, 01883 337 700.
